Tarnac is located on the slopes of the Plateau Millevaches the limit of three departments in the region. Definitely one of the most charming towns in the Plateau, we found evidence of different periods on the town, as the Lion in the Gallo Roman town church, the remains of a medieval fortress on the Puy Murat and the wonderful castle in Captivity 17th century. See also Fountain St George and the village church of the XII-XIV century. During July and August the tourist office offers every Wednesday afternoon walks discoveries of common cultural heritage combining Tarnac and natural.
